FAQ

The short answers on rights, privacy and cost.

What does Resonade do?

You upload a track (MP3, WAV or M4A, up to 15 MB) and pick its genre. Resonade detects the key, tempo and chord progression, including chords that change mid-bar, and shows you the audio-to-MIDI conversion of what it heard in a playable piano-roll, so you can check it note for note. Then it composes eight original MIDI melody ideas in the same vibe: same rhythmic feel, same harmonic colour, freshly written notes. Each take downloads as a standard .mid file that drops straight into your DAW, already in the key of your reference.

Will Resonade write a finished track for me?

No. Resonade hands you starting points: eight MIDI ideas that beat a blank project. Pick the one that sparks something, drag it into your DAW, and finish it with your own sound design, arrangement and groove.

Is the generated MIDI a copy of my upload?

No. Take 1 deliberately stays closest to your own material, as a recognizable anchor; the other seven are composed note by note against a model of your reference: its rhythm, its phrasing, its harmonic character. The takes keep the vibe while the actual note choices are freshly derived, which is the point: MIDI that feels like it belongs in your session without being a transcription of the record that inspired it.

How is this different from an AI song generator or a stem splitter?

An AI song generator hands you a finished render you had no hand in. A stem splitter hands back the same copyrighted recording, sliced into parts you still cannot release. Resonade does neither: it reads your reference for key, tempo, chords and feel, then writes new MIDI in that language, and you do the actual producing: the sound design, the arrangement, the mix. Think writing partner for the first spark, not a vending machine for finished songs.

Which DAWs does Resonade work with?

All of them. Downloads are standard MIDI (.mid) files, so they drop straight into FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, Pro Tools, Reaper and any other DAW or hardware that reads MIDI.

What happens to the audio I upload?

Your audio is analyzed in memory for key, chords and melodic character, then discarded; temporary files are deleted as soon as processing finishes. It never trains a model, and nobody else ever hears it.

How much does it cost?

Your first 3 tracks are free, no card required. After that, one credit generates one track: analysis, all eight MIDI takes and every preview, edit and .mid download of that run. Top up with one-time credit packs whenever you need more, or go Unlimited for €19.99 a month and use Resonade as much as you want; cancel anytime, fair use applies.

Can I release music made with Resonade?

Yes. Everything you generate is 100% yours, royalty-free, with no attribution required. Use the MIDI in songs you sell, stream, sync or perform; Resonade never claims any rights over your work.

Can I edit the MIDI before downloading it?

Yes. Every conversion and take opens in a built-in piano-roll editor in the FL Studio and Ableton idiom: draw, move and stretch notes, snap to the detected scale, and quantize to quarter notes without losing the groove. Your edits feed back into freshly regenerated takes.
