Terms of Service

Resonade is a web service for music producers: you upload an audio reference, we analyze musical characteristics — key, tempo, chords and melodic profile — and generate original MIDI ideas in a similar vibe. Resonade is not a transcription-for-copying tool and must not be used as one.

You may only upload audio you are legally allowed to analyze for personal reference. Uploads are processed to extract musical characteristics and are deleted from our processing systems when analysis completes. We never store, share or redistribute your uploads as listenable tracks.

The MIDI files Resonade generates are algorithmically composed, original material informed by the analysis of your reference — never a copy of it. You own the MIDI you download and may use it in your own productions, commercially or otherwise, without attribution.

You are responsible for your final works. If you deliberately steer the tool to imitate a specific copyrighted work, the resulting liability is yours.

Generating costs credits: one credit turns one uploaded track into a run of MIDI takes, and that run includes the analysis, previews, piano-roll edits and every .mid download it produces. Free credits are granted on signup; further credits are sold as one-time packs, processed by Stripe. Credits are prepaid usage: they are not money, are non-transferable, and unused credits expire 12 months after purchase. Spent credits are non-refundable. By starting a generation you consent to immediate delivery of digital content and waive any statutory withdrawal right for that delivery, where applicable.

The Unlimited subscription renews monthly through Stripe and unlocks generation for that month under a fair-use ceiling that protects the service against automated or bulk processing; use far beyond a human producer’s working pace may be throttled. You can cancel anytime from your account’s billing portal, which stops future renewals; usage already unlocked by a paid month remains available under the rules above.

No abuse of the analysis service (automated scraping, bulk processing, rate-limit evasion), no attempts to extract or reconstruct other users’ content, no illegal content, no reselling of the service itself.

The service is provided “as is”; detection is a best effort and results may vary by material. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site.
